Never Compare..

Theodore Roosevelt said that, “comparison is the thief of joy”. I have to agree.

If you have children, you see this played out on a weekly basis (holidays and breaks especially)!
-Your children enjoy a beach trip over summer break..only to return to school and hear about their classmate’s DISNEY extravaganza!๐Ÿ™‡๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ
-You watch your child squeal with delight as they unwrap their Christmas presents..only to come home wanting something else after they see what ‘so-and-so’ got!๐Ÿ™‡๐Ÿฝ

And what about us..? Ugh, can’t we be the worst?! ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿป
-I wish I looked like ‘her’…
-I wish my husband was like ‘that’…
-They have the perfect life…
-Why can’t my kids behave like ‘theirs’…
-Why does everything come easy for ‘them’…

Stop yourself, beloved. YOU were designed to be YOU. And WHOSE you are, says much more about WHO you are than anything else in the world.

God did not make a mistake when He fashioned you..HE is always on point.
Comparison can be motivating, but it can also make us miserable. If you’re finding yourself resenting those around you for the things they ‘seem’ to have..please know..there are always hurts..there are always struggles..and there is always a chapter in their story that they’d love to re-write. We ALL have moments when it becomes difficult to shine.. But, you, my dear..what you have on the inside..that’s what sets you apart! That’s what steadies you as the waters rage ’round. Anyone can appear amazing on Facebook or Instagram..but to BE amazing..well that status isn’t comparable..that level of awesome comes from one place only! So next time you have the urge to turn to your left or right..please shift your direction and look UP, because with God there’s no comparison.
YOU. ARE. HIS. FAVORITE.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผโ˜๐Ÿผ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ
